Declutter this week — there’s a reason for it, and here’s why it matters 6thOct~12th Oct

Because I live on an island, various insects sometimes find their way into the house

—but today, of all things, it was a crab! Yes, an actual crab in the room  lol.

I ran the hoover first thing this morning and am now sitting with a cup of tea, writing this article.

At the moment, the Sun is in Virgo. Virgo carries the energy of “organising” and “reviewing”, so it’s a good time to tidy up your home or get your daily habits back in order.

Why is this important?

Because this period asks us what to let go of and what to hold on to in life.

What is it that you truly wish to protect?

And on the other hand, what do you feel you no longer need to cling to?

You might be thinking, How does that connect? Isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration?

Let me explain a little more.

For instance, when you tidy your wardrobe and realise, “This no longer suits who I am now,” or when you rearrange the furniture and think, “It actually feels more comfortable this way,”

—by bringing order to the visible world, your mind also becomes clearer and lighter.

Have you ever experienced that?

Right now, astrologically speaking, that process flows very smoothly.

This week, the Moon also passes through Aquarius—a free-spirited sign.

During this time, your own thoughts might clash slightly with the mood around you.

To add to that, Venus is moving together with Ketu, which can bring shifts in matters of love and relationships.

You might find that:
– Your relationships with familiar people change.
– You suddenly feel like keeping some distance.
– You’re not quite sure how you feel.

If that happens, don’t panic.

You’re simply being given time to discern which connections truly matter. Genuine bonds won’t be broken, so you can relax.

Some ties that no longer serve you may naturally fall away, but that doesn’t mean the end of the world.

If they’re meant to, they’ll reconnect in time.

Such experiences are signs that your heart is longing to live more authentically. Rather than forcing yourself to fit in or endure things, gently ask yourself,

“What do I really want to choose?”

“What do I truly wish to do?”

—and let your actions follow that.

As for me, I’m about to hang out the washing.

The weather’s lovely today, so I’ve washed my pillows and plan to air the bedding as well.

A comfortable bed makes such a difference—it’s closely linked to the quality of our sleep.

So even a bit of light tidying or cleaning like that can be just right.

What kind of organising would you like to do this week?
