July Horoscope – Creating Your Place to Belong

This month's blog is coming a little earlier than usual, but somehow June is already drawing to a close.

It feels like we were only just celebrating the New Year...

The past six months have been a whirlwind of constant change, and many of us have probably felt as though we've simply been trying to keep up.

Now, July has finally arrived—and this is one I've been looking forward to.

Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus are all travelling through Cancer, and the New Moon on 14 July also falls in Cancer.

Cancer represents the heart, emotional security, family, home, our roots, and our sense of belonging.

It's the foundation every human being needs in order to grow, challenge themselves, and move forward in life.

Interestingly, Cancer is also my Lagna—the part of my personality that the world first sees.

It's also closely connected to what I hope to achieve through my work.

More than anything, I want to help people build an inner place where they feel safe, accepted, and at home.

Because when we have somewhere we truly belong, our soul is free to grow.

Fear. Anxiety. Worry.

These are emotions every one of us has experienced, and they're not something we can simply make disappear.

But knowing we have a place to return to changes us.

It quietly gives us the strength to keep going.

It gives us the emotional space to help someone else.

If your relationships aren't flowing as you'd like, or you feel a little distant from your partner, Cancer reminds us of something important.

Rather than trying harder, become someone they naturally want to come home to.

That's why I believe this Cancer theme is such an important one.

I hope we can all explore it together throughout July.

Now, let's dive into this month's astrology.

Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus are all in Cancer.

However, Mercury begins the month in retrograde.

When people hear "Mercury retrograde," they often think of delays, misunderstandings, communication problems, travel disruptions, or technology refusing to cooperate.

This retrograde feels slightly different.

Its purpose is to remind you why you chose this path in the first place.

It's as though the universe is quietly asking:

"Are you sure this is the future you truly want?"

The question may arrive disguised as a test.

When things don't go according to plan...

When life refuses to move as smoothly as you'd hoped...

Pause for a moment.

Remember why you started.

Jupiter, meanwhile, is exalted in Cancer

Because of this, one of July's collective themes becomes what we choose to believe.

In a world overflowing with information and social media, conversations become less about What is the truth? and more about What do I choose to believe?

Our personal values naturally become part of the discussion.

Venus in Cancer adds another fascinating layer.

It asks us:

Where do I genuinely feel at peace?

What kind of environment truly nourishes me?

Rather than placing all our value on success, money, or social status, this is a time when family, emotional comfort, meaningful relationships, and a sense of home become increasingly valuable.

It's also a beautiful period to reflect on a timeless question:

What does happiness actually mean?

I'd like to add one small thought here.

For some people, success, wealth, and achievement genuinely are deeply connected with happiness.

And that's perfectly okay.

There's nothing wrong with that.

They can sometimes attract jealousy, so perhaps they don't always need to be displayed openly—but they are not something shameful.

Some people grow up in abundance.

Others work incredibly hard to create it.

Both paths deserve respect.

What's truly important is not pretending.

Don't lie to yourself about what genuinely makes you feel fulfilled.

The journey from the Cancer New Moon to the Aquarius Full Moon is especially fascinating.

As you create a stronger, more comfortable foundation under the Cancer New Moon, the Aquarius Full Moon encourages new ideas, new perspectives, and new possibilities through genuine friendships and communities.

The energy shifts from creating a place to belong toward creating the future together.

Who are the people you truly want to build that future with?

Throughout July, you'll likely notice your surroundings and your relationships naturally reorganising themselves to match your future vision.

July is a month for creating your place to belong.

Especially during the first half of the month, while Japan gradually emerges from the rainy season, don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to stay home a little more than usual.

Sometimes, the future begins by simply feeling at home where you are.
